Show support for Canada’s Indigenous communities by wearing this hand-beaded orange pin in the shape of a t-shirt.
The practice of wearing orange shirts and items to honour Indigenous children who were sent to residential schools began in 2013 in a school in Williams Lake, B.C. and has since spread across Canada. September 30th is now known as Orange Shirt Day. Wear this pin any time, but especially on that day. Partial proceeds will go to the Orange Shirt Society to support awareness activities.
Tribal Roots connects with Mayan women artisans in Guatemala, to bring these meaningful pins to the global market. This empowers the people doing the beadwork with sustainable employment, so they can create better futures for themselves.
