About SOAK Bars:
The soap bar labels are made in Manitoba, with plantable seed paper. This means the paper is biodegradable; it can be planted in soil and will grow into wildflowers! Each label may contain any combination of the following wildflowers: Bird’s Eye, Clarkia, Black-Eyed Susan, Catchfly, Snapdragon, English Daisy & Sweet Alyssum.
The first and most abundant ingredient in all SOAK bars is Olive Oil to produce a nourishing and moisturizing soap bar. Next a heavy portion of Coconut Oil is thrown in, as well as Castor Oil and Avocado Oil for added nourishment and natural cleansing power. Finally, a healthy serving of Shea Butter is added for the ultimate addition of Vitamin A, antioxidants and hydration. Water and lye are combined with these butters and oils to produce a bar of soap. All colourants in these bars are derived from nature whether they are root powders or seed ground to a powder, to maintain its all-natural integrity.
All bars are made in small batches of 10 bars using a cold process method. Each recipe takes 4 to 6 weeks to cure. A handmade soap bar will last longer if it is kept dry between uses and out of reach of running water when not in use.
Each bar weighs approximately 165 grams and are 8.89 cm (3.5”) wide, 2.54 cm (1”) deep and 6.35 to 7.62 cm (2.5 to 3”) high. The bars may vary slightly in weight and dimension due to their handcrafted nature.
