Return Policy for Online Orders

If you have changed your mind, it is not a problem.

Purchases from the online Boutique can be returned either in person at the CMHR Boutique at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights or by mailing the purchase back to the CMHR Boutique. Exchanges can only be done in person at the Boutique.

Within 30 days of the shipping date, you are welcome to return your item(s) in original packaging. The item(s) must be unused, unworn, unwashed and unaltered with the price ticket(s) still attached.

Returns will be credited to the credit card used in the original transaction. Please allow 1 to 2 billing cycles for the return to be credited.

How can items be returned?

All online orders may be returned in-store on site at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, or by mail to the CMHR Boutique.

If returning in store:

The original receipt included in your package is required for all returns. Within 30 days from the date of the shipping date, a return can be made for items that are in their original packaging and must be unworn, unwashed, unaltered with the price ticket(s) still attached. All refunds will be made in the same form of payment as the original purchase.

If returning by mail:

Take one copy of your original receipt and circle the item(s) that you are returning. On the receipt, note the reason for your return, which may include the following:

  • Too big
  • Too small
  • Not as I expected
  • Wrong item or colour
  • Changed mind
  • Other

Carefully pack the item(s) to be returned and enclose the updated copy of the receipt. Please apply sufficient postage to ensure delivery of your return package.
